Storytelling wonderland the Rainbow Factory is staging a brand-new Christmas production – Scrooge’s Christmas Carol (written, composed & performed by: Bruce Sharp & Lydia Toumazou)
Yesterday, the Child Friendly Leeds team were delighted to be invited to the press night at the magical Rainbow Factory (shortlisted in the Child Friendly Leeds Awards 2017) along with many excited children and what a family-friendly, fun, musical show is was!!
Although the Dickens favourite is traditionally a ghost story, the duo went to great efforts to ensure that even the youngest visitors will enjoy their version – with ghosts that are more silly than scary, focused on fun and laughter.
Lasting a wriggle-proof 40 minutes, the show features puppets, catchy original songs, dancing & giggles galore, this performance is bursting with fun and laughter for all the family – with just as much enjoyment for the grown-ups as for little ones aged 2+.
Hazel Merlino, the centre’s managing director, said: “We’re so excited to be showcasing our third original Christmas performance at the Rainbow Factory.
“It’s been fantastic to see so many of our regulars make this their annual family treat – and we can’t wait to see the faces of even more little visitors as they giggle their way through this fun adaptation of a much-loved classic.”
The smile on each face was priceless! The show ended with ‘magical snow’ which had all the children and parents in hysterics. Definitely a place to recommend.
Performances will take place between December 6 and January 5, for all details and prices please visit: https://www.rainbowfactorykids.com/christmas-show. They also have many exciting events coming up this winter including…
